Our home

Our home is only 8 miles from Galway city and the ideal location for touring Mayo, Galway / cliften / spiddel and Clare. It is in a beautiful rural environment just outside a local village called Claregalway with rolling green fields and fantastic neighbours if needed. Just a short walk to Creg castle. It is comfortable clean and very spacious. The house consists of the following.
- The ground floor has a very large hall with grand piano and a large circular stairs to the 1st floor, followed by a spiral stairs to the 2nd floor. A kitchen with a large living area which consists of a very large south facing window for that relaxing sunny afternoon. Also on the ground floor is a large sitting/dining room, cloakroom, study room, utility and toilet.
- First floor consists of 4 bedrooms. One with master en-suite. The second has an open en-suite with the 3rd and 4th sharing a common en-suite. There is also a large bathroom with cast iron bath for the romantic in you.
- The 2nd floor has a bedroom and a large open study/sitting room.
- The gardens are well kept including large patio to the rear, with dining table and relaxing sun chairs.
Overall its the type of home that you would enjoy relaxing in after a long day of beautiful sight seeing in Galway City, Salthill beach, Barna, Spiddel, Clifden, The Burren, Ailwee caves, Bunratty castle, etc..... to name just a few.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Great neighbours. You will never be stuck if you need some help. we live in a Rural setting. You can walk down the back of our home (half a mile), into the ground of a local small castle called Cregg Castle. Its a hidden gem. This walk continues around 3 miles which will lead you back to out home again.... Worth a try, its very tranquil, as there is little to no traffic at all. Just a mile either way on the main road, you will find a pub, where you can taste your first Guinness.... 1 of many , I assure you. Going onto the main road, you will come across 3 villages, Corendulla, Claregalway ( where you will find 2 Hotels, a shopping centre, a castle and abbey ruins, a church) and Lackagh.. all within a 3 mile area...
