Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The village is called Blacksod (An Fod Dubh in the Irish language which is in regular use in the area) The scenery is amazing and is one of the few remaining places on the West coast of Ireland that has escaped the tourist trail. It is a rural fishing village with a pub, a police station, a lighthouse, pier and houses. The local people are warm and friendly and cannot do enough for you. The area is steeped in history and culture from neolithic sites, to early christian settlements.
