Our home

Traditional modern Greek home on an acre and a half set back off the road with a view of the island tops of Zakinthos and Cephallonia. Several fruit trees and rose bushes in the front. The private drive has 19 olive trees lining the outside. The main yard has many palm and fruit trees. Very rural and quiet atmosphere. The house is all one level with modern appliances: stove, refrigerator, washing machine and dryer, and dishwasher. The veranda goes around 2/3 of the house and has a large table suitable for eating outside.

Who we are

  1. We are Michael and Harolynne and retired to Greece from Seattle in 2003. Michael has dual Greek and American citizenship and Harolynne gives English as a Foreign Language exams. We enjoy working in the garden (Michael grows food and Harolynne grows flowers), relaxing, and staying in touch with friends and family by computer.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The house is situated 6 km from the center of town and is easily accessible by bicycle, car, or even walking. There are few other homes near by but many olive groves and farms which have watermelons, potatoes, and corn growing in season. There are also sheep, goats, and other farm animals. We are a half hour north of Olympia, 10 minutes from the beach by car, and a half hour from the port of Killini with ferries to both Zakinthos and Cephallonia. Patra, with its ferries to Italy and other Ionian islands is an hour north by car.
