Our home

We live in a landmark postwar building in heart of Montparnasse district, known as "Mouchotte Village" built by famous architect Jean Dubuisson between 1958 and 1966
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean_Dubuisson ).

If you're interested in architecture History (and read French) you can find more here : http://www.mouchotte.eu

Building is also famous for being pictured by German contemporary photographer Andreas Gursky. See Sotheby's : http://www.sothebys.com/en/news-video/blogs/all-blogs/contemporary/2013/10/rear-window-gursky-.html

More recently, spanish photographer Anna Malagrida shot Mouchotte interestingly http://annamalagrida.com/interiores_fachada1.htm

Design of the apartment is typical "Dubuisson" with large windows to get the light inside (thus awesome sunrises and sunsets) and a very functional organization.

We overlook one large garden (jardin de l'Atlantique) built upon the railways. Thus our place is very peaceful.
We have direct access to Montparnasse station and garden with nice playground for children

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Our place is directly next to Montparnasse railway station. Air France coaches to/from Roissy or Orly airports park just in front of our building.

Montparnasse district is one of busiest in Paris and is famous for its artistic background
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montparnasse

Tens of restaurants, cafés, theatres, cinemas or jazz clubs can be found in the walking distance.

Paris major attractions can be reached by foot or with metro from railway station (4 of Paris metro major lines go through Montparnasse)
Examples (door to door times given by metro operator - ratp.fr ):
- Saint-Germains des Prés : 12 min with line 4 (I would go by foot!)
- Notre-Dame cathedral : 15 min with line 4
- Invalides : 15 min with line 13
- Champs-Elysées : 17 min with line 13
- Eiffel tower : 23 min with line 6
- Louvre museum : 22 min with line 4
- Arc de triomphe : 23 min with line 6

Don't forget to reach Montparnasse tower 56th storey to enjoy one of most breathtaking views of central Paris.
