Our home

Our home is spacious, luminous and clean 3/3rd floor 69 m2 apartment with a living room, kitchen, two bedrooms, bathroom and balcony. It´s placed in the beautiful, peaceful and green Käpylä area just 15 minutes by bike / bus / train from the center of Helsinki (5 km).

The house is part of the olympic village and was built to accomodate the athletes in the 1952 Helsinki olympic games, thus the architechture represents the scandinavian functionalist trend of the era (ergo the 69 m2 are very compact ones). The spacious balcony gives out to community garden area. There is a playground down in the yard for the kids, and two public playgrounds / parks and a outdoor swimming center within few minutes walking distance.

Children's room has a bunk bed for 2 kids (in the pictures the bunk bed is separated in to two beds, can be extended to "real" beds of 195 cm / 80 kg; we also have foldable toddler beds for baby or a toddler) and lots of toys. Our home is perfect for a small family or a couple, but the sofa also works as a bed for 2. Kitchen has a dishwasher, electical stove and oven, microwave, blender, coffee maker etc. We also have TV, stereo system and fast wireless internet connection. We have large common sauna in the house and weekly private reservation for it on Thursdays, but you can also go and meet the people at the public turns :)

2 bicycles with child seats and bikes for children are at your disposal, as well as 3 X strollers. Also our station wagon with child seats can be included. We love outdoor life, and can also hook you up with hiking gear. Public transportation and connections from our apartment are really good (city center 20 minutes, Kallio 10 minutes, train station 10 minutes and airport 30 minutes). There´s free parking space for cars should you be coming by your own car or renting one.
