Our home

Our lovely small home is part of a rowhouse. We have three rooms and a terrace with a small grass area. The home is very compact and the large windows look to south and let the sunshine in. Nobody lives ahead of us, there is just rock and a few trees, therefore the curtins are actually unnecessary. Because it is in Finland, it has an sauna.
We have also an apartment in Talllinn, the capital of Estonia. That can be a part of the exchance, too. There is a frequent ship connection of 2-3 hours from Helsinki to Tallinn. This apartment has one bedroom with fireplace, livingroom/kitchen and one WC with shower. It has 10-15 min walking distance from the beautiful Tallinn old town.

Who we are

  1. We are a married couple, Neve and Osmo with a 15 y old boy. She has a sewing studio nearby (www.neven.fi) and I'm a Ph.D. and by profession a chemist in hospital. This is the first time we are planning to change homes. We like outside living, walking and sleeping in forests, travelling and getting to know new friends. We communicate in addition to Finnish in English, Germany, Swedish, Estonian, Lithuanian and Russian.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

There are big park areas in surroundings with trees, grass and softly rounded rocks. Also there is a beatiful network of forest paths starting almost from the door. At 400 m distance is the highest natural point of Helsinki with a good view. Almost as near is a sport hall for skiing arond the year with -4 degrees of temperature and a skiing route of 1.2 km. And a gym with sauna. To the nearest bigger shops is about 0.5 km and to a local shopping centre 1.2 km. At that shopping center there is also a gym with pool and sauna. The metro is going from there to Helsinki. It takes about 20 min to the heart of the city called The Daughther of the Baltic Sea.
