Your neighbourhood

Nyborg is a cosy Danish town situated on the island of Fyn, known as the garden of Denmark and birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen. The town has app. 20.000 inhabitants. Nyborg was once the capital of medieval Denmark and has an old castle and an old town-centre. It has a pedestrian zone and all the shops you need for your daily life. Nyborg is situated at The Great Belt, which offers excellent opportunities for swimming, sailing, fishing etc. If the weather is bad there is a great sub-tropical swimmingpool in Nyborg with saunas, spa and a big waterslide for the kids.
Around Nyborg there are a lot of possibilities. Odense, the third-largest town in Denmark, is only 30 km. away. With shopping and museums, including the Hans Christian Andersen Museum, it is a nice place to go on a day-trip. If you have a car the island of Fyn also offers a lot of very cosy, tidy, wellkept villages and mansions worth visiting. It is as danish as it gets, since Fyn used to be richest and most fertile part of Denmark.
Across The Great Belt Bridge (around 50 euros two ways) you can reach Copenhagen in about 1.5 hours.
Nyborg also has an 18-hole golf-course. Here you can see more about Fyn www.fyn.dk
