Who we are

  1. We are Thomas and Pernille and our daughter, Asta, who is ten years old and our son Bertram who is eight years old. Thomas is a marketing professional, Pernille works in publishing. We have exchanged homes eight times - Montauban (FR), Paris (FR), Cheltenham (UK), Gorze (FR), Berlin (DE), Grindsted (DK), Nottingham (UK) and Bologna (ITA). Unfortunately we do not welcome pets, nor are we interested in exchange with homes that have dogs or horses due to allergies. We are only able to exchange during Danish school holidays (around Easter & Christmas, late June-early/mid August) and Mid-October).

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The area is called Islands Brygge. It is an old workers' quarter transformed into a modern and lively neighbourhood with small shops and cafés. Islands Brygge offers ample shopping possibilities within walking distance: three supermarkets, four bakeries, a fishmonger, a butcher, an off license, a diversity of take-away, cafés and small shops selling clothes, jewelry, ceramics and other bits and pieces by local designers.

It is a very safe neighbourhood, and your children are likely to make new friends in the many playgrounds (some of which are just outside the building) or by the harbour bath (yes, it is safe to swim in the harbour) (see video about the harbour bath her: http://vimeo.com/35367946 ). The beach is just 15 minutes away by Metro train.

The flat is very close to all forms of transportation. Buses and underground are just around the corner. The Central Station is a 15 minute walk away. From here you can take local, regional, national and international trains (Sweden is just 45 minutes away). Copenhagen Airport is 30 minutes away by underground.
