Our home

Our home is an open, yet cosy, typical Scandinavian apartment on the third floor of an attractive apartment building built around 1900. The wooden floors, white walls and beautiful windows create an inviting atmosphere. The location is perfect for exploring both Copenhagen and its surroundings. As we have a 5-year-old and a 3-year-old, we have various children equipment / toys (which can be stored in a cupboard if you don't have kids).

Who we are

  1. We are Christine and Gareth, a Danish/English couple, both 41, with a 5-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl. Christine is an editorial assistant and Gareth is an English teacher. We are very respectful of other people's privacy and property and would take good care of your home. We've made two swaps so far - hugely successful for all concerned!

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Central Copenhagen, in the beautiful Oesterbro-area, everything within walking distance. (15-min walk through park to the sea and Little Mermaid, 25-min walk along the lakes or through parks to the historic city centre.) The apartment is located on a quiet sidestreet, with communal courtyard at rear. No garden, but 2 parks & playgrounds within a 5-minute walk, lake at the top of the road, and Copenhagen's main park a 10-minute walk. Quiet neighbourhood with local shops, restaurants, cafes / bars. Excellent location. Very close to public transport network for connections to sights around city and beyond. Copenhagen is a beautiful, green, very friendly and safe metropolis with canals, interesting architecture, museums, the famous Tivoli (!) and an abundance of shopping options. The nearest beach is a 10-minute bike ride (we have 2 bikes with child seats). Also beaches outside the city (20 mins by train, 30 by bus) We'll be happy to send more information/maps of Copenhagen and assist with any questions you may have.
