Our home

Typical Copenhagen style apartment just 15 minutes from the centre in an urban village. The apartment is small but light and renovated in 2006. 1 bedroom with 1 double bed, but if you don't mind cramming in, you can fit up to 6. The apartment decor is a mix of contemporary Scandinavian design, my great grandmothers antiques and a few memories from my many travels. The building has a shared quaint garden with picnic tables, grill and a small playground. People are very friendly and all the kids play together. One side of the garden is mostly used by adults reading, sunbathing or just relaxing away from the playground. The most common way of transportation in Copenhagen is by public transportation or bike. You can take the bus to the centre from right across the street or walk 3 minutes to other type of transportation that can also take you many other places araound Copenhagen. I also have a bike that you are free to use. However, if you want to see the countryside I also have an old car that you can use. Even though Copenhagen is a metropolitan there are several very nice beaches within 15 to 30 minutes and a 5 minute walk from the apartment take you to a lake (not for swimming) with swans and bike, running and walking paths.

Who we are

  1. I am 35 years old and single. After many years in the Travel Industry as a manager, I decided to change path last year and am now working for The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I obviously like to travel and I try to get away at least twice a year. When it works out I travel with friends, but not many singles left so I also travel by my self. As I work a lot I like to spend my vacations recuperate by the beach, reading a good book, shopping, sightseeing and eating good food. I am a sun and beach lover, so I am mostly looking to swap with anything close to the beach with warm weather. I have lived in the US as an exchange student and an Au Pair for more than 2 years and I love the country and try to come back as much as I can, however. At the moment I am looking for about a week stay in a city at the end of March for about a week. Please don't hesitate to contact me, I am open to suggestions. Look forward to hearing from you!

Small quaint village with several cafes and shopping. Just 15 minutes from the centre of Copenhagen and with public transportation right across the street. There is also a small grocery store across the street with extended hours. The shared garden gives you a relaxing oasis after a buisy day of sightseeing in the big city where you can BBQ the old fashion way or bring your dinner down to enjoy the last sun of the day. The city Zoo, Søndermarken Park, Damhussøen (the lake)and the Castle of Frederiksberg are just minutes away.
