Our home

Our home is a practical, charming and comfortable family home furnished with modern Danish designer furniture. It is built in 1989 and has undergone a big renovation in 2011. It is bright with lots of daylight. It has a nice kitchen with adjoining dining room and sittingroom. There is one parents-bedroom with a double bed and three other bedrooms two with a loft and the other with one childrens bed and a loft. Two of the lofts are pretty big and could accomodate 2 children.

The house has a Xbox, nintendo Wii, computer and also wireless internet. There are lots of entertainment for kids.

The terrace overlooks a big garden with trees and some flowers. There is a very nice view of the garden from the terrace. In the garden there is lots to do for busy children. Swings, sandpit, trees to climb and wood to play/build with. There is a fireplace in the garden for bonfires. In Denmark we have bright summer evenings so we usually spend much time on the terrace and in the garden in the summer time.

Our house is placed quite central in our town, but at a quiet road so there is no traffic in the neigbourhood. Our neigbours are mostly seniors so it is a quiet neighbourhood.

Property features

Who we are

  1. We are a busy family of five. I am Mette (40), I work as a projektmanager. My husbands name is Peer (46) he works as a productionmanager. We have three children Kristian (12), Rasmus (9) and Laura (6 yrs).

We love wery much to explore and see things when we are away and like to teach our kids about different cultures.

We have done one previous homeexchange. It is a great way to see another country as a resident - and allow someone to see ours. We would expect to arrange an exchange some way in advance in order to get to know our fellow exchangers via email first to see how best we can facilitate your stay in Denmark.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Our town is inhabits about 12.000 people. It is a quiet town with many possibilities for shopping and is ideally located as a touring base.
It is situated in the centre of the northern part of Denmark, with easy acces to many interesting sights eg. we only have a 15 minutes drive to the most wonderfull beaches and fresh seafood and about 30 minutes to the city of Aalborg, where you have all the facilities of a modern big city. We are also located with an easy acces to the rest of Scandinavia - Göteborg, Oslo and Kristianssand.

There are also many places to go of special interest to children eg Faarup Sommerland, Aalborg Zoo.
