Our home

Lush tropical setting. Villas built in January 2007. This is not our primary residence, so simultaeous exchange is not necessary. The property is actually two, two-story villas each with two bedrooms(queen beds/upscale linens), two bathrooms with walk-in shower. Very comfortable for up to 8 people or, one villa for two is a perfect escape. Additionally, electric blow-up queen mattress avail. Small, but complete kitchens. Laundry. Large covered balcony overlooking the Pacific & the bay of Playa Dominicalito. 5 min drive to the beach. Great sunsets much of the year with fly-bys of parrots & toucans. Infinity pool with in-pool table & stools. Gardener & weekly housekeeper. Wake up to the sounds of howler monkeys! See more at our site - Villas Escondrijo.

Property features

Who we are

  1. We are a 40 something couple with 2 early teen children and our own businesses. We are (now very proudly) Canadian and actually reside in Vancouver, BC (aka 2010 Olympics). This property is our "second home" and is available both for exchange or rental. We love to travel, with or without the kids at times; we ride motorcycles, ski and love boating so almost anywhere works. Looking forward to a new adventure.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

A true tropical vacation. This is where the rainforest meets the ocean. Monkeys, toucans, hundreds of other birds & exotic animals right in the yard. Lush tropical landscape. Located at 1000ft elevation on the mountainside overlooking the Pacific Ocean, and yes, you can hear the surf. Pleasant ocean breezes. 10 min to beach. The area is renowned for surfing, deep sea fishing and wildlife. Lots of available activities - horseback riding to a gorgeous waterfall, ziplines through the jungle, surfing, diving, fishing. Or, just kick back and enjoy nature. Not an overdeveloped tourist area - very laid back. Some very good restaurants. Wonderful people. Easy to get by with English if your Spanish is minimal.
