Who we are

  1. Don and I are a fun-loving couple and enjoy travelling. Chelsea, our 4 year old daughter also enjoys sight-seeing. Chels has already traveled across Canada several times to St. John's Newfoundland, Don's home town up until 6 years ago and it is here we have our second home. Don is retired at 50, lucky guy, and also is a stay-at-home dad, and he will tell you it's the best job he has ever had. Rhonda is 40 years old, a forester who works for the BC government in First Nations' relations. The three of us aim to explore the world together on our 6 month holiday. We are firm with start and end dates, but are open in between to stay for a short or long time at any one destination. We would love to travel almost anywhere, but if we had to narrow it down our wish list would include Ireland, Scotland, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Caribbean, and, and, and.....

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We live in a beautiful, quiet, and safe neighborhood and is a 15 minute drive to downtown victoria and the inner harbour. Our home is situated on a serene and quiet street, and is nestled in mature arbutus and fir trees. The property is quite large for city standards, approx. 1/3 of an acre, and from the kitchen there are ocean views. It is just a 5 minute walk down the end of our street to get to a beautiful beach where you can enjoy a quiet paddle, swim in the cool water, skip rocks or try your hand at salmon fishing.

Victoria itself is a well known tourist destination and offers great shopping, lovely restaurants, pubs, whale watching, golfing, and the fabulous BC Royal Museum. The city is only 1 1/2 hours by ferry to Vancouver, and 4 hours by car up Vancouver Island to the rugged west coast of Tofino.
