Our home

Only a short walk from the village centre, yet it feels like a wilderness retreat. Enter the gate and get lost in the gardens set in an old growth hemlock forest. The house is across a mountain stream and is reached by a covered bridge. There are extensive decks, open and covered. Living spaces are open and spacious with high ceilings. Fireplaces warm the living room, library and master bedroom. The media room offers a home theatre, and there is a respectable video library and extensive written library. There is a gourmet kitchen adjoining the dining room and family room. Of the three bedrooms upstairs, two have private balconies. The master bedroom downstairs has a king size bed and hot tub. A third floor deck gives nice views of the property. Plenty of windows to catch glimpses of wildlife: heron, raccoon, and bear!

Your neighbourhood

Lynn Valley is a quaint alpine village within North Vancouver, surrounded by stunning mountains. Lynn Valley Canyon, with gorgeous forest and numerous hiking and biking trails, a suspension bridge over a 200 foot waterfall and raging mountain river is a short walk away. Grab a coffee or bite to eat at local cafes in the village centre, also within walking distance from our home. Vancouver, just 15 minutes away by bus and/or seabus, offers a wide range of cultural, environmental and outdoor activities. Ecclectic and international dining at your whim. Stanley Park, Chinatown, and the popular Granville Market are some must-sees. We live in a friendly neighborhood behind an elementary school with 2 playgrounds. Mall and library are walking distance. Local ski hills are 10-15 minutes away and also offer hiking/biking in the summer months. The sea, mountains, and forests provide your backdrop on your scenic hour and a half drive to Whistler (bring your camera!).
