Our home

Our cottage in Trinity is a recognized historic structure which was constructed c1880 in the classic Salt Box design.

The out side has been restored to period standards. The inside has been tastefully renovated to allow for current living requirements and is decorated with period artifacts and furniture . There is a guest house which is included and has two bedrooms and full bathroom. The cottage is located on private 2.5 acres of land with 850 ft water frontage including private beach. The sunset views are spectacular.

Trinity is a 3hr drive from St.John's the oldest city in North America .You should also allow time to include St. John's in your visit .

  1. I am a retired Manger from a major oil company and my wife a retired financial advisor with a major bank. My family history dates back over 200 years in Trinity. Trinity is our second home. We have two married daughters and three grandchildren children .We both enjoy Trinity for the hiking, dog walking , scenery and tranquility.

    We have completed 7 exchanges to date and can offer reference if you like. Both simultaneous and non simultaneous exchanges are ok.

Trinity village was first settled in 1659.It is one of the few old towns in Newfoundland that most or all of the old buildings remain and have been restored to period. The exterior architecture of all new buildings constructed must also conform and look similar to the existing structures.

Trinity is considered the most attractive old fishing village in the province .There are 6 museums in the village that interpret the history. The village is surrounded by a large harbor with very steep cliffs . There is an award winning summer performing arts theatre. The mostly 4 - 5 star B & B's in the village provide live traditional entertainment and fine dinning.

The area is a hiker’s and history buff’s delight, the 3rd best rated hiking trail in North America, Skerwink, is a 10 min drive. Many other trails run along the coast or lead to abandoned communities. Icebergs can be seen in season. .Eagles and whale sightings are common place . The village offers whale watching , Kayak and walking tours .Within 1 hr drive there are 3 golf courses, national park and other national historic sites. Sunsets aaand sun rises are spectacular.

Trinity is best visited in the July - Oct period with the fall being equally as good as summer.

No need to lock your doors crime does not exist. If you want the Newfoundland experience Trinity and area offers it all.
