Our home

Our home is a 3 bedroom townhouse in a trendy neighbourhood in the west end of Toronto. It has a private back garden, patio and bbq. There is 1 parking space and covered carport accessed by a private lane way at the rear of the backyard.

1 queen size bed in master, the 2nd bedroom has a queen size bed, and the third bedroom is used as a a nursery which can accommodate our double bed. The kitchen is newly renovated and perfect for preparing gourmet meals. TV, cable, Netflix, internet available. The dining room has a table large enough to seat six for family meals or entertaining. The clothes washer and dryer are located in the finished basement. There are also plenty of toys to play with in the toy room in the basement.

Who we are

  1. We are Craig and Olivia, a married couple in our thirties with a toddler. We are both secondary school teachers on sabbatical looking for adventure and the experience of other cultures around the world. We love our home and Toronto, but we are looking for all that the world has to offer. We love reading, the company of good friends, and venturing through our city. We both graduates of the University of Toronto and grew up in the Greater Toronto Area. We have exchanged homes twice now and loved our experiences so far.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We live in the west-end neighbourhood of Highpark-Roncesvalles. Our street is a quiet residential road located 5 minutes walking distance to the (Queen St.) streetcar, 1 minute walking distance to the (Landsdowne Ave.) bus, and 15 minutes walking distance to the subway line (Landsdowne Station). Walk 5 minutes west and you will reach the quaint and welcoming shops on Roncesvalles. A short walk to the end of our street gets to the heart of Parkdale (a west end neighbourhood) bars, galleries, restaurants, and clubs where you will find young artists and young professionals. If that is not your taste, ride the Queen Streetcar for 10 minutes and you will find yourself in the heart of bustling Toronto, home to Museums, parks, nightlife, and many tourist attractions including the CN tower.
Our neighbourhood of Roncesvalles is famous for its Polish restaurants and Queen Street in our neighbourhood is home to little Tibet. We are also a 15 minute walk from the beautiful Highpark, the largest park in Toronto, famous for its walking and biking trails, Shakespeare in the park in the summer, and skating on the pond in the winter. Walk 10 minutes East to "Vegandale", where you can find a convergence of vegan restaurants and shops. Bloor-West village is also about a 10 minute transit from our house where you can shop, eat, and drink. Our street is home to Sourauren Farmers market every Monday from 3-7 where you can peruse organic foods from local farmers in Ontario.
