Our home

Our home is attractive, clean, comfortable and particularly pleasant in the summer. There is a living room with dining area to one end that opens onto a screened in sunporch. The kitchen has a view of Lake Erie and opens to a lovely garden. There is also a good sized family room on the main floor, a bathroom, and the master bedroom. On the second floor is one large bedroom (designed for grandchildren) with 5 beds and windows that catch the lake breeze. In the basement you will find the laundry and a second bathroom with shower, as well as the computer station. The house is best suited to adults.

Property features

Who we are

  1. We are a retired couple with grown children and grandchildren. We have travelled a good deal, staying in small hotels, B&Bs and last year renting an apartment in France, but have not exchanged before. We have heard great things from friends, so are looking forward to this new opportunity. We plan to travel with one of our daughter who has been our travelling partner on a number of trips. We like to see some of the history of the area, shop in the markets and try to live like the locals.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Port Dover is a charming fishing village on the north shore of Lake Erie, one of the Great Lakes. It is a bustling town in summer, with a long sandy beach and a number of beachside shops and restaurants, as well as the Harbour Museum. The main street is lined with shops, the Lighthouse Theatre and the park where concerts are held each Sunday. There is a large festival in town each August. Toronto is only an hour away and it is an easy and pretty drive to the wine region of Niagara, again only an hour away. Niagara Falls is a nearby attraction with the falls and a casino.
