Our home

We have a family home on 5 private and quiet acres in a delightful glen on the south face of Mt. Maxwell on Saltspring Island. The backyard, which has a small fenced vegetable garden, a child's play structure including swing, climbing bars and slide and a trampoline, is surrounded by a beautiful cedar forest. The house has four bedroooms upstairs (three childrens one master) and a bedroom/den downstairs in addition to an open living space on the main floor.

Who we are

  1. Stefan and I live on Saltspring with our 3 children, Sonja (14), Olivia (11), and Sophie (5). We both commute frequently to Vancouver where we work as professors in the faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia. Sonja has a horse and rides with a passion. the older girls play fiddle and we are all very involved in the Saltspring community. We enjoy camping and the outdoors and spend part of almost every day in the summer swimming in one of the local lakes or off one of the ocean beaches. We are all looking forward to coming to France this summer.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Saltspring Island is a premier travel destination on Canada's West Coast, known for its scenic beauty and artistic community. Our house is 8 minutes from the island's main town of Ganges and 10 minutes from the ferry terminal with passage to the city of Victoria on Vancouver Island (a 35 minute boat ride). Saltspring is a 2 to 3 hour ferry ride to the city of Vancouver. Ganges boasts wonderful restaurants and all the shopping necessities. There is an abundance of wildlife on the island including deer and whale pods are often spotted on the islands' south end.
