Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The Ottawa area provides a wide range of activities and tourist attractions. As the national capital of Canada, (bilingual city), we have many unique attractions:

Parliament Hill Changing of the Guard Ceremony
Canadian Museum of Civilization Canadian Museum of Nature.
Canadian War Museum. RCMP Stables.
Royal Canadian Mint. National Arts Centre.
National Aviation Museum. National Gallery Of Canada.
National Museum of Science & Technology Central Experimental Farm/Agriculture.

The non-cultural activities include great restaurants, shopping, people watching in the Byward market and along the Rideau Canal. Miles of biking and hiking trails from our house all the way into the city. (3 adult and 3 children, hybrid bikes).

Those of you looking to get away from the city and relax at a beach or nearby lake will have plenty of opportunities. Included in our swap is camping equip. (3 X 4 person tents) and all the associated accessories for a week or weekend in the outdoors. There are a number of provincial campgrounds, which would make a day trip or overnight stay possible. If you are looking for some fishing, Scott and I will share our equipment and secret locations.
