Who we are

  1. We are a professional couple with 2 girls (1 month and 4 years), starting to emerge from the rat trace. I am a freelance IT consultant and Ali is on maternity leave but normally runs a bunch of offices full of people doing good stuff.

We are looking to return to the UK for a few weeks to visit friends and family. Dates are flexible at the moment.

We absolutely love it here and you will too!

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Our house is a 20 minute drive or bus ride (or 30 minute bike ride over Lions Gate bridge and through the amazing Stanley Park) from downtown Vancouver. It is 5 minutes drive to the Grouse Mountain gondola (for skiing in winter) and 10 minutes walk to the Capilano suspension bridge. North Vancouver is a mecca for mountain bikers in North America. Squamish and "the cheif" with top quality climbing, white-water rafting is 45 minutes away and Whistler an hour and a half.

We are a very short walk from Edgemont Village, with some local shops, restaurants and an all important Starbucks (mandatory in Canada).

Vancouver is one of the most beautiful cities in North America, with all normal city attractions, yet laid-back, easy to get around and full of friendly Canadians (Eh!).

Our car could be available for exploration of the other great attractions (Vancouver Island, Bowen Island, Harrison Hot Springs, lah lah lah).
