Our home

Our home was built in 1908, and is located in a unique heritage district known as Queen's Park. It has 3 floors plus a basement, where there are laundry facilities and a separate one bedroom suite (it is currently rented, but is totally separate and does not impede your privacy). Upstairs there are three bedrooms, three full bathrooms and a main-floor powder room. Our kitchen is newly renovated and the main floor has an open floor plan. We have a private, fenced back yard with a patio, BBQ, and perennial flower gardens. Our street is quiet and our neighbours are friendly. We take pride in our home and would look after your home as though it were our own. Housekeeping is available if interested. We answer all inquiries.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Our home is situated in a heritage district with lovely tree-lined streets. We are 100 metres from a park that has huge old growth trees, a petting zoo and spray park for children (open May-September). We are a 5 minute walk from public transportation that will take you into the city of Vancouver, where you will find galleries, museums, shopping, theatre, restaurants, nightlife, beaches, mountains, etc. New Westminster is a city of about 70,000 people and is an ideal touring base. A 25 minute drive will take you to ferries that will take you into the Gulf Islands and to Vancouver Island, where you will find Victoria, the capital city of British Columbia, as well as many smaller towns and beautiful ocean scenery. We are 40 minutes from the Canada/USA border and a two hour drive south will take you to Seattle, USA. We have bicycles for your use, and equipment for camping should you wish to explore the wilderness. We offer our vehicle as part of the exchange - a Toyota Rav 4 that seats 5 people, or a Toyota Tacoma truck that seats 4.
