Our home

Our condo is nestled on the west side of Mount Royal. It is a heritage building and is known as the 24th most beautiful building in Montreal. From the front door the mountain is accessible with its parks and paths for walking/jogging and bicycling. A ten minute walk brings you to the center of Montreal with all of its vibrant activity. Although situated in the center of the city, the condo is quiet and extremely secure, with a doorman and valet parking. The people living in the building are very friendly and everyone is helpful and gracious. There is a terrace from which you can see the beauty of the island of Montreal with its buildings, the river and its bridges, as well as the surrounding countryside for miles. Our condo has a large bedroom with a double bed, a large window from which a panoramic view of the city is available, and an en-suite bathroom, with a shower/bath. Since it is our pied a terre in Montreal, the closet and bureaus are empty, and available for use by the visitors, which is convenient. There is a large sofa-bed in the living room, making more space for another couple to sleep. The kitchen is fully equipped for any cooking, and there are small appliances available. There is a concierge living in the building for any emergencies, and a doorman and valet in the garage who will help with any questions, and information of any kind. We offer the use of a Honda CVR for trips to the Laurentiens for skiing in winter or the countryside in summer. Luxury living!

Who we are

  1. Larry and I are in our mid 50's and are entrepreneurs who have recently semi-retired, and now have more time to travel. We live 45 minutes west of Montreal in a smaller community, but love to enjoy the restaurants and city activities in Montreal. We are open to travelling anywhere, but would prefer Europe or Sydney, Australia, where our daughter is studying. We love to explore, and are open to many new experiences, and neighborhoods. We are quiet people, who are very respectful of the property of others. We would take care of your things.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The Trafalgar is in the West of Montreal, which has been known as the English side of the city in the past. Although that is less true now, there is still a little more English heard here than in the East. The building is on the border of Westmount, among the wealthiest homes of Montreal, with beautiful old estates and private schools. Lovely gardens and old trees abound. Walking downtown from the condo we find ourselves in the major shopping/restaurant/art Gallery district. Crescent Street is known for its clubs and restaurants, The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts is close and St Catherine Street, with many fine boutiques is next door. These are places not to miss. A short car drive will take you to the Plateau with its clubs and restaurants, the rue St Denis is famous for its destinations and there is Old Montreal for its exhibits and restaurants and the restoration of the old life in Quebec. Everything is close. The city is vibrant and exciting, multicultural, and diverse. There is a Little Italy and a Chinatown with marvellous cuisines and shops. Closer to home, for quiet contemplation, the mountain is across the street, with its meandering paths, and wildlife. The paths are patrolled by officers on horseback. A walk along the neighboring streets will be interesting. One can see some of the oldest homes in the city, dating over 150 years old, well maintained and regal, looking down on the beautiful city.
