Our home

Our house was built in the 60's, is spacious and newly renovated for the most part. It is 2 story with 4 bedrooms and full bathroom and den upstairs. The main floor has a large living room with fireplace, kitchen and art/craft studio. There is a 2 piece bathroom on this level. The basement has another fireplace, hobby & storage area, laundry room and workshop. There is a single car garage which we use primarily for storage.
We have a nice front and backyard and lots of lovely big trees.

Property features

Who we are

  1. We are two retired teachers considering a move to Victoria BC and would be interested in an extended stay to experience west coast city life. Last year we spent 2 months on Salt Spring Island and can offer references from those home owners as well as others. We are very responsible, tidy and clean.
We love to hike, paint, craft and cook. Also enjoy music, galleries and meeting new friends.
We may also consider Europe and sunny locations.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Our home is within walking distance to the lakefront, a marina, numerous parks, hiking trails, golfing, curling, indoor and outdoor swimming and a large gym. Sailing activities nearby as well as canoeing, power boating, fishing etc.
It is a mixed neighbourhood - old and new homes, large and small. Most of the residents are retired or professionals. We are in the newer part of historic Portsmouth Village in Kingston between Queens University and St. Lawrence College. There is a bus stop on our corner. We do sometimes walk downtown along the lake, this takes about 40 minutes or drive in 5.
There is a Seniors' center just up the street that has numerous activities and services.
Kingston is located at the junction of Lake Ontario, the St. Lawrence River and the Rideau River. It has lots to offer – from live theater, music, fine dining, Olympic class sailing and numerous other outdoor activities. We are equidistant between Toronto and Montreal (about 3hrs) and 2 hours south of Ottawa. The US border and the Thousand Islands are 30 minutes away.
