Our home

Our "treetop" cottage features a magnificent sun-filled, east-facing, open-concept with knotty pine throughout. The privacy and seclusion provides a great holiday location overlooking Little Kennisis Lake in the beautiful Haliburton Highlands with a wrap-around deck.

This modern cottage features three bedroom overlooking the cathedral ceiling with skylights into the living/dining room below. The large modern, fully equipped kitchen has new appliances and ample storage and entertaining space centered around the kicthen island. Two bedrooms have a double bed, the master bedroom has a queen bed, and another room on the main floor has a twin, comfortably sleeping seven.

The sloping landscape and stairs from the parking lot to the cottage means you sleep 30-40' high amidst the tops of the great pine and cedar trees giving you a peaceful and tranquil rest every night. Due to the stairs, this cottage is not suitable for very young children or seniors/individuals who would not be able to navigate stairs on their own.

Who we are

  1. We are Anna and Angelo, a married couple in our early 40's. We have no children. We are both professionals with a second home and lots of big "toys" and hobbies. We currently rent our cottage for select weeks during the year and would love to exchange to see other parts of the world. Anna speaks some Spanish and Angelo speaks some Tigalo (Phillipines). We are open to suggestions and offers for exchange.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Little Kennisis Lake is a clean, deep lake on the southern rim of the Haliburton Highlands Wildlife Reserve and Algonquin Park. The lake is good for swimming, fishing, and boating. The cottage is close to hiking, mountain biking, cross country skiing trails, snowshoeing, sledding, golfing, and water/ice fishing. The cottage has easy access to the Haliburton Highlands Wildlife Reserve, Wolf Centre, boat and snowmobile rentals.

The shoreline is rocky but there are sandy beaches within driving distances. Canoe is provided as part of exchange for lake access and adventures.

There is a great campfire pit close to the shore for evening fires. Woodstove inside the cottage for cool evenings or winter exchange.
