Our home

Our home is clean (allergy friendly) and spacious with a private, treed lot in a nice neighborhood. The house has 4 bedrooms, 4 baths (3 full, 1 half), a recreation room, and gym. The master bedroom suite has a fireplace and a jacuzzi bath (plus shower). We are only 15 minutes drive from the international airport, and about 15 minutes to the closest shopping and restaurant areas of Halifax.

Property features

Who we are

  1. We are professional couple with two children (6 and 11). We seek to travel both with the family (over the summer)- and as a couple (in the fall).

We are most excited about visiting European, South & Central American countries. We enjoy learning about local culture (music, cuisine, industry), and seeing wildlife (in particular - S & C America).

The bottom floor of our house is suitable to use as a private one bedroom apartment (separate bathroom, bedroom and entrance - with a living room, gym and mini-kitchen). We are open to hosting even during times we cannot travel.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Halifax is a vibrant ocean port (the capital of Nova Scotia) and offers hundreds of multi-cultural restaurants, various nightclubs, theatres and a large casino. During the summer, average temperatures are warm (20-25C) - and the in the fall 15-20 Celcius. There are many local sand beaches, small wineries within an hours drive to tour, fantastic biking and fishing opportunities locally, historic sites (old British fortresses like the Citadel), sailing tours, museums (including the maritime museum which hosts an exhibit on the Titanic - some victims were buried in Halifax cemeteries).

Each year Halifax plays host to world renowned festivals such as the International Buskers Festival, Tall Ships Festival, Shakespeare by the Sea, musical festivals and marathons (like the Bluenose Marathon).
