Our home

Our 100 year old two-storey Victorian home features stained glass windows, spacious kitchen, dining room, living room, four bedrooms, perennial gardens, huge lawn, and lots of privacy. Hardwood flooring and continuous cool air circulation keeps the interior cool on hot summer days. A well stocked library provides lots of good reading for adults and children while the very private deck patio in the yard is a favourite place for barbecues and summer wines. With sleeping for seven or more guests, fine art on the walls and an office, there is ample room for relaxation. The decore is inviting, the soft chairs comfy but if you want to get away for a few hours there is a canoe available for the nearby rivers.

Who we are

  1. Bob 66 and Linda 60 are a semi-retired couple rattling around in our large home when we're not walking, entertaining, reading, dabbling in arts and crafts or enjoying visiting our seven adult children and very young grandchildren. With several exchange experiences in the past few years, we have welcomed exchangers to our home from France, England, Ireland and Canada and know how to take good care of your home. We are energetic and interested in culture, history, art and landscapes.

(IF you are bringing young children with you on your exchange, we request you insure that they show respect for our home. We have had an exchange in 2010 wherein the children seemed to be unrestricted in their behaviour and we needed a week to clean up when we got home.)
