Our home

Come visit and enjoy this brand new villa on the golf course in the town of Okotoks, nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, 15 minutes from Calgary. Our two-story home borders the Crystalridge Golf Course which is a public course with dining facilities and is only steps away. Our home is well designed, decorated and comfortable. On the main level we have a great kitchen with quality appliances, a dining area whereby you can watch the golfers and deer!, a living area complete with a fireplace, large TV and media components. There is also a den that is our computer and office space, with highspeed WiFi access. Up the attractive stairway to a large master bedroom with a queen-size bed, a sitting area and an ensuite complete with a soaker tub and separate shower. Our retreat on the second floor is a most welcoming space with comfortable seating and another flat screen TV. This space could serve as a sleeping space for one or two children perhaps. The walkout to the golf course has a beautiful new master suite complete with large bedroom, sitting room, beautiful bathroom and walk in closet. There is a sitting area outside also. The rear deck overlooking the golf course has a natural gas barbeque and ample room to enjoy outdoor eating and the gorgeous sunsets.

Who we are

  1. We are Bob and Joanne, retired educators ,who love to travel and want to see the rest of the world. We have had 15 marvelous exchanges during the past five years that have allowed us to explore southern England, New Zealand, Australia, Europe and Iceland. We are very interested in an exchange in EUROPE sometime during the summer or fall of 2014. We have a vehicle that could be available for your use. We would certainly treat your home with the utmost respect, and would look forward to getting to know you through email correspondence before the exchange. We have two adult children who are married and have given us beautiful gifts of three gorgeous granddaughters.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We are fortunate to live in one of the most beautiful parts of the world we think. World-renown scenery, sites and things to do abound. Okotoks is a vibrant community of 20,000 and internationally recognized as a sustainable community, serves as a central base for exploring southern Alberta. We are situated in the beautiful foothills of the Rocky Mountains, and you can be hiking in the mountains in a half-hour from our house. The scenery is beautiful and we are surrounded by many UNESCO Heritage Sites as well as other Canadian Historic Sites and National Parks. Many movies have been shot in the area due to the outstanding scenery. We are 15 minutes from Calgary, home of the world famous Calgary Stampede, Canada Olympic Park, the Zoo, Heritage Park, entertainment and shopping. Banff National Park is 90 minutes away, as well as access to the Icefields Highway and Lake Louise. Wateron Glacier International Park and Head-Smashed-in-Buffalo Jump are only a few hours drive away. Drumheller Dinosaur Park, the Badlands, and its outstanding museum provide an easy day's return trip. Kananaskis Country with its beautiful mountain scenery and wildlife is an hour's drive. Winter in the mountains and prairies are also beautiful and fun. Skiing-both cross-country and downhill, snowshoeing (provided!), snowmobiling, skating and ice fishing keep Canadians busy and active year-round.
