Our home

We designed and built our home in 1992 with retirement, and the possibility of a B&B in mind. It is a modern, clean 3-bedroom bungalow on a good size lot with walk-out from the lower level to the waterfront. We enjoy our large deck and patio overlooking the St. Larence River, numerous waterfoul and other bird species, and the great view at night from our new jacuzzi. The master bedroom has a king size bed and ensuite bath. There are queen size beds in each of the other newly decorated bedrooms on the lower level with a shared bath.

Who we are

  1. We are retired professionals, as of July 2006,(Engineering and Education) still doing some consulting work. Our two adult children live away from home. We are anxious to experience living and travel in Europe, and hope that a home exchange will be a rewarding experience.
We will consider exchanges after August, 2006.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We are located in a rural subdivision with frontage on a commuter road and on the St. Lawrence Seaway. We have an excellent view of a Canada-U.S. International bridge and the New York State shoreline. Our home is located near the junction of major highways centrally located between Ottawa (1 hr) Montreal (2 hr), Kingston (1 hr) and Toronto (3.5 hr). The area is ripe with historic buildings and construction related to the settlement of Upper Canada in the 1700's and 1800's. The Thousand Islands are a short 1/2 hour drive away.
