Our home

Our home is nestled in the heart of beautiful Banff boasting spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains. It is a well-appointed, bright, modern townhouse with skylights. There are three bedrooms as well as 2 lofts (one for sleeping, and another that serves as an office). The master bathroom has a Jacuzzi tub and walk in shower. We also have accommodation for very young children. The living area has a wood burning stove, hardwood floors and an extensive entertainment centre. The kitchen is newly renovated. The lower bedroom also serves as a den, complete with library for the avid reader. Two front balconies face Mt. Norquay ski resort and the rear deck faces Tunnel Mountain. For your interest, in summer the climate is generally mild. Alberta receives more sunshine than any other province in Canada, averaging 2,000 hours every year. July is the warmest month. There is no snow at highway level in the summer, but the highest mountain tops will be snow covered pretty much year round. In winter staff remove snow from around the townhouse and are kept busy landscaping during the summer.

Property features

Who we are

  1. We are a mid-forties couple with 2 young children. In the summer we leave beautiful Banff for our island residence in Ontario.

The most common wildlife seen in Banff National Park are Bighorn Sheep, Deer, Elk, Moose, and Mountain Goats.

On the warm and fuzzier side the Park is home to many Squirrels and Marmots. Porcupine and Beaver may also be found. Bird lovers will want to watch for Grouse, Bald Eagles, and the ubiquitous Canada Goose.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Banff is Canada's premier recreation resort in the Rocky Mountains. It is home to 3 world class down hill ski resorts, (Lake Louise approximately 30 minutes away, Sunshine only 15 mins and Mt. Norquay on the edge of town). Cross country skiers benefit from the numerous trails around town and at the nearby Nordic Centre. In the summertime these paths are taken over by mountain bike enthusiasts and hikers. Dog sledding and horse-drawn sleigh rides are available in the winter months and western style trail rides in the spring, summer and fall. Numerous pristine mountain lakes, the Bow River, waterfalls and natural hot springs are just a stones throw away. On the mountain tops beautiful wild flower meadows quickly grow once the snow has melted. Restaurants of all kinds are located throughout town, and in the famous Banff Springs and Rimrock hotels. Full facility spas are plentiful. The Banff Centre, an internationally renowned hub for performing arts, boasts concerts and shows by various artists throughout the year - these are reasonably priced. Workout facilities are open to visitors and an indoor waterslide park is great fun for families. Calgary International Airport is about 90 minutes away, has frequent door-to-door shuttle bus service and car rental options. For 16 days every July Calgary hosts the Greatest Show on Earth; the Calgary Exhibition and Stampede. The city also lays claim to an internationally acclaimed Zoo open every day of the year.
