Our home

My spacious apartment on a tree-lined street in Vienna's 8th District is located in a lovely 100-year-old building. My home has been updated to offer every convenience while retaining its turn-of-the century character, and thus is an interesting combination of old-world style mixed with contemporary paintings and glass tables. What it may lack in American convenience is compensated in character. Three bedrooms (one queen, one American double, one king with its own funky little WC/shower) and one bath (which needs updating!), with separate WC, look into a small courtyard with trees. Separate guest apartment with king bed, perfect for couple, adjoins main apartment but is completely independent with separate entrance, kitchen and bath. Washer, dryer, high-speed broadband internet, cable TV, microwave.

Who we are

  1. I am Anne, a US national recently retired from a United Nations organization in Vienna, and am interested in spending time in various countries where I can stay in private accommodations. I have lived in Vienna for many years and have recently exchanged for the first time, which worked out very well.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

If you like an urban lifestyle, this is for you. I am on a tree-lined street, peaceful and quiet on the inner courtyard, but with numerous restaurants and bars in the neighborhood. 20- to 30-minute walk to Vienna's Parliament and Ringstrasse. Excellent public transport is nearby, so no car needed. A good supermarket is three blocks away, and a smaller one even closer.
