Our home

Wonderful winemaker house from 1840 in the vineyard area at the border of Vienna but just 15 minutes from the city centre! With our car you can use you can go super fast and relaxed to all wonderful places (either to the city / subway) or directly to Schönbrunn (25 min), Kahlenberg (5 min) or to places like the monastery of Klosterneuburg/Danube (5/8 min). But also wonderful places like Melk, Dürnstein/Wachau or others are just 30-60 min away. Especially with kids this is very convenient. Freshly renovated the house has a lot of light and is in one of the most wonderful parts you can live in or around Vienna. There are 2 sleeping rooms one facing to the vineyards and one facing to the 3000m² big garden and one wintergarden that can be used as an extra sleeping room or f.i. for eating breakfast there when it is still to cold in the garden but the sun is already there. Furtheremore there is a dining room beside an open kitchen, a living room both facing to both sides of the house partially with some old furniture, a quite large bath + 2 toilets (+ an extra room with washing machine and dryer) The house has an old wine cellar - still with old wine barrels. Everything is very light in the house and although so close to many nice places in summer you nearly see only green trees. Moreover you can pick apples, cherries, plums, vegetables or in autumn till late October grapes in our garden or just relax there in the sun. We moved in in 2009 so everything is quite new and well kept.

Who we are

  1. We are a family of 7: Michael and Lia are the parents with 3 daugthers (10, 6 and still not 1 years) ;) and 2 sons (8 + 4 years) - in our house there may stay a dog or we might need to take it with us - it is used to take care on the big garden and very used to small children and very shy - normally when we go somewhere either someone is staying at our house or we are taking her with us - it s a small border collie mixture - but very quiet and not sleeping a lot in her corner but mostly she is outside - We have a company which is developing business software. We love art and old things as well as sport and travelling. We are very used to travel a lot as we also have a second home in the centre of St. Petersburg/Russia (which you can also go to if you like). We are very careful with our home (although the kids tend to make a disorder from time to time) and will always take a lot of care with any place we go to - no matter whether it is a hotel or your home!

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Wonderful area with a lot of old mansions, winyards, the "Wienerwald", 5 minutes from the Danube and from Klosterneuburg centre with its lovely wine houses (Heurigen) and restaurants and also just 12 minutes by car to Vienna city centre - You can use one of our cars for going relaxed to the subway (it will need around 8 minutes to go there and to park there at the "park&ride place" and to go from there in just 3-10 minutes to the centre. If you want to see the other wonderful places in Vienna (Schönbrunn, Belvedere, Riesenrad, Prater, Kahlenberg, Ringstraße, Stephandsdom, Graben, Kohlmarkt, Museumsquartier, usw) or go to the Musikverein for some concert, some museum or place in the evening you will enjoy going there by car directly or by car and metro and you will be everywhere very fast. (Schönbrunn/25 min, Kahlenberg/8 min and places like Wachau/Dürnstein or Melk around 1 hour) - there are also many wonderful castles around Vienna and if you love the mountains you can easily reach places like Rax or Schneeberg and go up with cable car. So if you want to see wonderful Vienna and enjoy also the maverlous places around Vienna you will love it. We can explain of course how to go and where to find the wonderful spots. We would also give you a preconfigured navi (tom tom) so you find always safe there and back. Of course one can also take the public transport to go to the centre of Vienna and many places - the bus is 70m from our house and takes you to the subway in 13-18 min
