Our home

We see Water. We see it everywhere!. There is a surf beach, river, protected lagoon and swimming pools. All within 5 minutes walk.

Our villa is comfy and so very relaxing. It has an open plan kitchen/dining room/living area which opens out to a sheltered outdoor living area (including barbecue) that directly overlooks the lagoon and lagoon beach. Great for sunrises and sunsets, breakfast or dinner or watching kids play on the beach while sipping a glass of wine/coffee.

This is our holiday villa. When not used by us we put our Villa into the Grand Mercure Twin Waters resort letting pool.

If we do a simultaneous exchange then we are happy to also exchange our large modern queenslander home in inner city (ie Wooloowin) Brisbane approx 70 minutes drive away.

Property features

Who we are

  1. We are Allen and Luisa, a married couple in our early 50's with two children (19 year old Danielle and 17 year old Michael) who will most likely be accompanying us. We are both professionals (Professional Engineer and Doctor) and enjoyed international travel prior to starting our family. We travel regularly and have done two wonderful home exchanges before in Capetown and Wanaka, New Zealand.

We enjoy most getting out and experiencing the local scenery and culture first hand.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We love our second home in Mudjimba 1.5 hours drive north of Brisbane which surrounds a central fish filled lagoon. On one side of the lagoon is the Novotel resort with two restaurants, two cafe/bars, gym, pool , kidsclub, tourdesk and free activities including bikes, catamarans, surfboards, canoes and paddle boards which are all available for use.

On our side is the Northshore complex of "modern Queensland bach" styled houses/villas which are relaxed, laid back and airy and owned permanent residents and owners who use them as weekenders. I love to swim across the lagoon every morning or the Maroochy river (5 minutes walk). The kids like to swim at the superb patrolled Mudjimba surf beach (5 minutes walk). Then there is the two pools to swim in also. We regularly see kangaroos and wallabies relaxing in the grounds.
