Our home

Our home is a comfortable family home. All the rooms are large with high pressed metal ceilings. The floors are polished boards with rugs. There is a lounge room with wide-screen cable TV, separate dining room, kitchen with dishwasher, laundry, two large bedrooms, one with an adjoining study with high-speed cable internet access, and one bathroom. Each bedroom has either a double or queen size bed. At the front of the house there is a pleasant flower garden, with a small pond and fountain and a vine-covered pergola and barbecue, ideal for long lunches in Sydney's temperate climate.

Who we are

  1. Our names are Stephen and Sandy. We are in our 50s. We are both teachers. We have two children, a daughter, Alexis, just at the end of her undrgraduate studies, and a son Jeremy, a journalist with Reuters. Sandy is also a chiropractor and has just completed a PhD in integrative medicine. Stephen writes cryptic crosswords and loves animals and most sports (especially cricket). We travel often, and plan to do so for the rest of our lives. We have done one home swap, with a couple from Copenhagen, which was a perfect introduction to a great way to travel. As we have spare bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs we can offer swappers time in the house with us as guests either side of the actual swap, should our respective schedules allow.
