Our home

The climate is a fabulous asset the area has to offer. Our winters are mild average max 18-24c degrees and summer average max 23-38c being hotter and at times humid. The sea temperature varies slightly from 16-18c deg in winter to 21-23c deg in summer allowing year round comfortable swimming.

Our home is a 3 level north facing brick house with 5 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms. We live on the top of the hill with 180 deg panoramic views of the sea and countryside. If you stay at our home while we are away the whole house is yours, if you arrive while we are here we can close off the internal double access doors and you will have your own private external accesses with 2 bedrooms, bathroom, lounge/dining area, kitchen, TV video and the sea views. Either scenario you will be very private and comfortable.

Being a small village local public transport is limited to twice-daily bus to Kempsey, which is on both the main highway and main train line on the east coast connecting Sydney to Brisbane. To enable you to easily travel around the area we will have a Toyota Camry sedan car for your use.

Within a 4-hour drive radius there are many more attractions, Hunter Valley Wine district (3.5hrs), our Districts own wineries, other small holiday villages, the Blue Mountains, Sapphire and Emerald Country of Inverell on the top of the mountains (note:- our mountains are very small compared to overseas but are worth a look).

We would envisage seeing much more of the world over the following years however visiting a continent near where our Children are is a consideration.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Crescent Head is approx half way between the Capital Cities of Sydney NSW and Brisbane QLD.

Drive time differs slightly being 5 hrs to Sydney and 6-7 hours to Brisbane with the world known holiday playground destination of Surfers Paradise / Gold Coast being 1hr drive less, south of Brisbane.

We sit 45 mins drive north of Port Macquarie and 2 hrs drive south of Coffs Harbour, both towns are also holiday destinations.

Our village of 1200 people is right on the coast with beautiful pristine uncrowded beaches for km’s both north and south.

The area is most famous for its magnificent surf with surfboard riders regularly making the area a must stop off destination. However the area also provides stunning scenery, swimming, beach walking, many bushwalks, fishing, biking, canoeing, community swimming pool in fact just about anything the great outdoors has to offer.

The village is a quiet area that offers a Country Club (visitors most welcome) that provides 2
Restaurants, a 6 Hole Golf Course with sweeping ocean views, Lawn Bowls and Tennis. We also have a Tavern, other Restaurants, Bakery, Groceries Store, Fast Food and Alcohol outlet shops, Beautician, Masseur, Hairdresser, Petrol Garage and Post Office.

Medical needs are well looked after with a Doctor, Chemist in the village and Kempsey Hospital 25 min drive away.
