Our home

We have a 2 storey, 3 bedroom townhouse, 1 with queen size bed, 1 with single bunk syle bed and the third bedroom is used as a sewing room, but does have a single Futon bed/couch, and together with the bathroom and one of our W/C’s makes up the upper storey. The lounge room, dining room, kitchen, laundry and W/C completes thedownstairs area. We have a front and rear enclosed court yards (which catch the morning and afternoon sun), lock up garage, with additional parking area. The use of a car may be arranged with the exchange. There are also frequent bus services offering access to Perth City Centre, Fremantle and major shoping centres either passing the front of the property, or within easy walking. The Swan river foreshore and park area is within 500mts of the house (easy walking).

Who we are

  1. We are Ray and Sue, both in our fifties, and our youngest daughter Amelia who is 21. Sue is a home maker, and I work for an oil and gas company as an instrument/electrical technician. Amelia is a student, who also has a passion for cooking and art. We have travelled to various parts of the world, and enjoy soaking up the culture, art, history and lifestyle of the various places we have visited.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Perth in Western Australia, enjoys hot summers and, in the main, mild winters and because of this a large focus is made of the “outdoors” lifestyle, during spring/summer/autumn barbeque’s and visits to the beach figure largely in peoples lives.
Our neighbourhood is directly across from Perth CBD, separated by the Swan river, the banks of which have been, in the main, kept as parkland. There are a number of major shoping centres within easy access, although we prefer the “village” shops and café’s which are a plesent 5 minutes stroll away. We are also handily placed for bus services to Perth CBD and also to the historic and cosmopolitan port city of Fremantle. Burswood resort casino is close by, and can be accessed by car or by walking along the Swan river foreshore.
Sport is well represented with a number of public golf course’s within a 10 km radius, as well as tennis, lawn bowls, water sking, para-gliding, squash etc.. Spectator sport is also available with Australian Rules Football, Soccer, Rugby Union, Cricket and Basketball to name a few. Surfing is also a big past time at local beaches, and the waves at Margaret River attract a number of world class competitors.
Perth and the South West of Western Australia also has some world class premium wineries (the Swan Valley is around ½ hour away and Margaret River is around 2 hrs away. Day trips to the “Pinicles”, Kalbarri Gorge and the dolphins at Monkey Mia are what many visitors have on their “to do” lists.
