Our home

Our hills home is spacious and peaceful, overlooking the beautiful Bickley Valley. There are views of the forest from every window. We have wide verandahs on three sides for outside living. The loungeroom is large and elegant with high ceilings and picture windows, airconditioned, with a potbelly stove for winter. The second bedroom is upstairs. The house is fully carpeted except for timber floors in the kitchen and dining room, and is on several levels. The garden is easy care and fully reticulated. We have a labrador/German shepherd dog, Cobber, and a homeloving cat, Choody, who will need care (although we could probably find a relative to have Cobber if necessary) and we are happy to look after yours in return.

Property features

Who we are

  1. We are Lionel and Lorna, retired since selling our vineyard and bed & breakfast property last year. We have a son and daughter-in-law living in Thame, Oxfordshire, who are expecting a baby in October, 2006, and we would love to be close to them for a period over this time. We are not tied into these dates, and could be a bit flexible around them.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Our home is on four acres of forest in the Perth Hills, close to the township of Kalamunda, where there are all the necessary shops, cafes and restaurants, library, parks, etc., and other entertainment within easy distance. We are surrounded by wineries, orchards, bushwalking and cycling trails, art and craft outlets, beautiful wildflowers in spring and other natural attractions. There is even camel-riding ! All this, and only 35 minutes from Perth city centre.
