Our home

Our home is a comfortable three bedroom house situated in a quiet, leafy suburb east of Melbourne. The house has a lounge & dining room, meals area and kids room with TV, DVD, PC and Playstation. The house has air conditioning. The kitchen is modern with all the usual appliances. Our rear balcony overlooks our large backyard and the parkland beyond. A locked gate gives access to the park and walking / bike trails.

Property features

Who we are

  1. Peter is an IT lecturer at a local university and Clare is a Kindergarten assistant. Our boys are 13 and 11. They are trustworthy and very careful with other peoples possesions and property. We are going to visit England around mid December 2006 for about 5-6 weeks. We are looking for places to base ourselves while we visit London and Cornwall (and hopefully Paris). We are quite flexible with our plans at the moment and don't have any firm ideas about the sequence of city visits.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The parkland has playgrounds and football/cricket field and bike tracks. You can cycle to the CBD and only cross one smallish main road all the way. The local shop is a few minutes away, while a number of shopping centres are a few minutes away by car. Chadstone (Melbourne's best known shopping centre complex) is a 10 minute drive. Two train lines that service the CBD are about a 15 minute walk. A bus line stops about 300 meters from our front door that can take you to either train line, or the tram line that also runs to the CBD. The Monash Freeway is only a couple minutes away by car. The Freeway gives access to the CBD and the airport. The Botanical Gardens, MCG, Arts Centre are a 20 minute drive (or a 45 minute ride on the bike at around 15kph). The bayside beaches are about a 20 minute drive. Melbourne Zoo is about a 25 minute drive. The Dandenong ranges are a 30 minute drive. The Yarra Valley wineries are about a 45+ minute drive.
