Who we are

  1. Hi. My name is Susan and I am a single, part-time writer, part-time (amateur) actress, part-time administrator who just LOVES living on the mountain with my 19yo daughter and cats. I've become very involved in the local community which is wonderfully warm and friendly. I've never actually travelled further afield than Caledonia and am looking forward with passion to my first European (Italian) experience with my close like-minded friend.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Short 3 min drive to picturesque Tamborine Mountain gallery offering boutique coffee houses, number of well-known wineries and plenty of arts, crafts and regular local markets. 9 stunning national rainforest parks and well known hangliding location only 8 mins away with spectacular views. Or take picturesque 20 min drive down the mountain to all the Gold Coast (Australia's premium tourist destination) has to offer - fabulous shopping, world-class beaches and restaurants by the 100's!
Springtime on the mountain is a most magical experience and Tamborine Mountain is a sanctuary for native Australian flora and fauna including the lyrebird, pademelons (small kangaroo-like animals), stunning, vividly coloured parrots and even the elusive platypus!
The community is smallish (6,600) and very friendly with an olde world atmosphere in the local village of North Tamborine. Most of us came for a day and stayed for a lifetime ... you might too once you've been here!!
