Our home

Our home is designed to make the most of the amazing position and views of the Tamar River. It is very quiet and peaceful surrounded by many native birds and animals.
Although Tasmania sounds isolated we are only a 30 minute drive to the Launceston airport which has direct flights to Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane. (Often quite cheap fairs with Jetstar or Virgin Blue).

Property features

Who we are

  1. We are a teacher and farmer who are keen to show our two beautiful daughters (15 and 13) some of the wonderful places we have visited in the world. Although we will be travelling in September 2011 we can offer exchanges here any time. As our seasons don't correspond well for simultaneous travel, we will move out with extended family. A car is also essential in Tasmania and we will be able to offer our Subaru Outback 4x4.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We live in the heart of the Tamar Valley which is 25 minutes north of Launceston. This area is famous for it's beauty, fine wine and fine food. Of course Tasmanis's main attraction is it's spectacular wilderness areas. It is a 2 hour drive to Cradle Mountain and a 3 hour drive to the much photographed Wineglass Bay. We are very keen bushwalkers and kayakers so have many other magic spots we can share that are not so crowded with tourists. www.discovertasmania.com
