Our home

Our home is a very nice, fully renovated, clean and spacious suburban 3 bedroom home. Our large kitchen / dining room is great for those early morning coffee's. The lounge room flows out to the back deck, which takes you into our fenced back yard. Our bedrooms are all quite large, the main with king-size bed and ensuite.
As we entertain a lot, we think you'd enjoy the comfort and convenience of our location.

Who we are

  1. My name is Annette I’m 28 years old. My husband is Stacey, 34 years and we have one son Sam, 3 years. .Stacey and I are both in IT – Stacey is a SAS consultant and I am a business analyst. Sam attends the local day care centre and mixes incredibly well with people of all ages, adults and children alike! We have never done a home exchange before, but are very interested in exchanging to give our son and ourselves the opportunity to appreciate a foreign country as more than just a tourist. We would love for others to see our country the same way too. We would prefer to arrange an exchange some way in advance in order to get to know our fellow exchangers via email first especially our first exchange.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Ideally located as a touring base, Canberra offers easy access by car to Sydney (a comfortable 3 hour drive), the Snowy Mountains / Thredbo and Perisher for ski enthusiasts (a comfortable 3 hour drive) and the South Coast / Bateman’s Bay (a comfortable 2 hour drive). Flights on our major domestic airlines fly to all capital cities and at reasonable prices if you’re interested in seeing even more of our vast land. A direct flight to Sydney is approximately 50 minutes, Melbourne approximately 1hr 10min, Brisbane 1hr 30 min. If you are really adventurous Perth is only 4hrs 40mins on a direct flight – but a fantastic city!
Canberra has a great bus service if you needed public transport with a bus stop 200meters down the road from our front door. Our local area consists of a quiet street, the golf course is located literally 5 houses down and is a magnificent walk early in the morning – you are almost guaranteed to see kangaroos on the golf course in the morning and in the evenings.
Canberra has a fantastic blend of casual and fine dining, and we'd be happy to share with you directions to some of our favourite restaurants. Some of the best attractions in Canberra have free admission, including the National Museum, the National Gallery of Australia and the Australian War Memorial – all award winning locations. We know that most travelers have heard about Sydney and Melbourne, but Canberra is a safe, clean and interesting place to live, let alone visit! What a great base down under!
