Our home

Our home is 3 years old, comfortable, clean and spacious. We have 3 bedrooms - 1 huge bedroom with a king sized bed, 1 with a double bed, and the other with 2 single beds. This is an 'open plan' house, and we have a large kitchen from which can be viewed the TV room, dining room and lounge room. There is an entertainment area out from the dining room, which we use a lot, with a large glass table and chairs to seat 10 people. The entertainment area looks out onto a lovely garden. The large windows and sliding doors offer cooling breezes in the summer.

Who we are

  1. We are Robyn and Norm, who have two grown-up children, and two grandchildren. After working in schools and TAFE colleges, we are now retired and travel extensively, enjoying the experiences gained from meeting different people. We have a caravan, and have just returned from a three month trip through the centre of Australia. Our interests include gardening, cooking, playing the guitar, tennis, genealogy, computing and fishing in our small aluminium boat in the bay.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Situated in a quiet street in Victoria Point,4 kilometres from Moreton Bay - you can take short ferry rides to the many islands in the bay. These include North Stradbroke Island, which has beautiful beaches, and Coochie Mudlo Island which is quite secluded. The bay is very popular with fishermen, boaties and leisure craft. We have a substantial shopping centre 2kms from home, catering for all needs, and a lovely crafty village (Cleveland) about 10 minutes drive, where markets are held every Sunday. Within two kilometres, kangaroos, cows and horses can be found grazing in the paddocks near the picturesque Mt Cotton Winery & Vineyard. We are within 23kms of the city of Brisbane, and about 60 kms easy driving on the Motorway to the Gold Coast. Trains and buses run to these areas as well.
