Our home

Our home is in a small coastal village called South Durras on the south coast of NSW, known as the "Nature Coast". Our home is comfortable and friendly and has been completely renovated in the last 4 years. It has a hardwood floor with rugs and eclectic mix of furniture, a back entertaining deck, a new BBQ deck, and a sleep out/ guest quarters.
It is warm in summer and not too cold in winter (we have gas heating at the push of a button and solar hot water too). We have a lovely garden, great for relaxing and seeing native birds.

Property features

Who we are

  1. We are 2 adults with 2 kids. We love the outdoors and South Durras!
We run a sea kayaking business (If you like we can leave a few sea kayaks available for you to use).
We would like to visit my husbands family in Banff or Canmore in Alberta, Canada, for a few months sometime. We are also keen to check out other places in Australia and the world with the kids during our quieter business months ( June, July, August and September).

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Our village of about 400 people, is totally surrounded by Murramarang National Park. The forest is across the street, Lake Durras is 200m down the road and is considered the most prisitine coastal lake in NSW. The beach is about a 3 minute walk through a coastal reserve.
The closest town is Batemans Bay, population of about 18,000. It is a ten minute drive away and has all the facilities, restaurants, clubs, cinema you would ever need. This part of Australia's coast is less developed than north of Sydney and offers a true Australian holiday...dolphins, fantastic beaches, kangaroos and bush.
The climate here is great..temperate. Not too cold in winter and not too hot in summer.
It is a 2 hour drive to Canberra, Australias capital city, with lots to do and about a four hour drive to Sydney.
