“We have just come back from our first home exchange in San Diego (ID=18940). Joy and John Fetherlin's house was such a treat to us: beautiful, welcoming and in such a lovely location. They left margaritas, snacks, presents, directions and maps for us...very fortunate. Joy and John treated our apartment in London with great respect and I am extremely pleased. Home Exchange has given us the opportunity to start a great friendship across "the pond". We are absolutely fell in love with San Diego”

“In August 2016 we, a family of 4 with two kids age 6 and 11, stayed in Susans and Patrcks home for 2 1/2 weeks. We had such a great time that we didn\'t want to leave. The house is very charming, with all amenities you could wish for and which were described upfront. It was easy to take care of and we found everything we needed. The three dogs were very easy to look out for, kid-friendly and were loved a lot by the kids (and parents) in return. We don\'t have any experience in dog care but I guess we managed quite well :-). The pool was a blessing on many lazy days where we just stayed in the house, but we\'ve also received tipps on where to go to take a bath in the river, not having to drive to the coast. An absolute must and a highlight of our stay!! The area around the house is very rural but the climate is wonderful, warm during the day and cooling down at night so you can sleep comfortably with open windows and without missing any air-conditioning or fans, especially if you\'re not used to these temperatures in the summer. Sometimes we thought it could have been a bit closer to the coast, especially when returning from a long daytrip to Granada, Malaga or Cadiz, but then we saw the hills, the view, the house and felt the breeze and we knew why its worth the extra 30 minutes!! Susan and Patrick are excellent hosts and very nice people. We\'ve met at the airport twice and stayed in touch by email during our stay. They were quick to answer any questions we had and to think of solutions for whatever needed to be solved. Our own home and our cats were very well taken care of. And I guess I never had an exchange where so little stuff was mixed up in the kitchen as this one. I have no idea how they did it ;-). If we hadn\'t been to the area twice now I would exchange with them again in a heartbeat. A highly recommended exchange.”
“We had a perfect vacation at Patrick’s and Susan’s with our three kids; this was the exact picturesque rural location we were looking for. The Finca is a charming farmhouse turned villa about half an hour drive from the coast. The surroundings are surprisingly lush even in high summer and the mountain view is beautiful. The house has a generously shaded patio, and this, of course, is where we spent most of the time and took all our meals. The dogs are friendly and very tolerant with kids, and they were definitely an asset with our kids. Patrick and Susan have an interesting fiction and non-fiction book collection in English, which we enjoyed. The pool was a nice addition on warm days, but too deep for kids unable to swim, even better for bathing was the small river 5 km down the road. We didn’t do many activities, but Ronda is a very nice town. Gibraltar we found to be overrun. Thanks a lot to Patrick and Susan for a great exchange!”
