Beautiful countryside and coast, easy to get around and all in all a very relaxing holiday. Our hosts made us feel very welcome and their home was comfortable and spacious. If you have an interest in motorbikes this would be a great place to stay during race times. A great place to "chill".

| Hooked on home exchange! |
| Date: August 23, 2008 |
|
We had our first exchange with a lovely family from Iceland last summer. Since then we have exchanged for a ski trip in Southern Bohemia in the CZ Republic in Feb, Galway in Ireland (June) and Britanny (arrived back today). The house in Britanny was a wonderful 6 bedroom 'maison de maitre' near the sea...which meant we could take our neighbours and their 84 year old grandfather. This was his first holiday ever (he had only done one day trip away from home before!). He is a little frail but having the comforts of a real home - together with a downstairs bedroom and bathroom - made everything so easy. We now have trips planned to New York, Portugal, PEI, US VI and Rio (for Carnaval!!). Home exchange really is 'the' way to travel.

We just arrived back from a 3 week vacation in Paris. We arrived in Paris before our exchange family left for our house and they spent three days getting us familiar with the area, taking us for a beautiful French dinner where our children got to know each other and just making us feel completely comfortable in their home and neighborhood. We kept in touch by phone and email to find out each others vacation experiences. When we arrived back home our exchange family was still there so we got to go out for lunch and just enjoy more stories with our new friends. We were a little nervous when we first decided to do the exchange...for no reason...it was the best decision we could have made and the bonus was we met a wonderful family that we know we will stay in touch with and see again, and we got to see Paris through the eyes of a family that have lived in the area all their lives.

We had our first home exchange this June. We exchanged with someone from Utrecht Netherlands, for 4 1/2 weeks. It was perfect. Both homes were well cared for. Loved living in a neighborhood and experiencing life as a local. We have already arranged an exchange for next summer. We love HomeForExchange and look forward to lots of new experiences because of this program. We highly recommend it.

We have spent a week at Jerry's and Kay's house in Lincolnshire. It was great. We took time to meet our partners and shared moments of great exchange, talking about life in France and in England. That's how we concieve home swapping. We'll do it again and maybe this will be the way we will always organise our holidays in the future.

| Feeling at home in Spain and Portugal |
| Date: August 13, 2008 |
|
We have just returned to Australia after having just completed our first home exchanges, a week in Spain and 2 weeks in Portugal. We had a fantastic time, our new "homes" were comfortable and convenient, we loved having books to read, DVDs to play, and being able to search the local markets for produce to cook at home. Our hosts were kind and friendly and we look forward to welcoming them to our beach house in Queensland.
We are confident that we have discovered the future for all of our travels.

Our time at Lake Shawenegog was a typically wonderfully relaxing Ontario cottage vacation. We were able to enjoy both quiet time as well as entertain friends who drove from Toronto or Ottawa to visit for a couple of nights. The cottage is equipped like a home in the city with every comfort and most enjoyable. Small town Plevna nearby had a new small supermarket that served all our needs. We loved the White Tailed Deer, the Giant Blue Herons and, most especially, the call of the Loons at night.
It was a lovely Home Exchange for us.

| Feeling at home in Portugal and Spain |

We have just finished our first exchanges where we combined a week in Spain with two weeks in Portugal. Both exchanges were fantastic, the best part was having some space to call home, to be able to wander down to the local market and buy food to cook, and best of all to feel at home. I think we've found the future for all our travels.

| Great Exchange In Boston! |
| Date: August 07, 2008 |
|
We did an exchange with a home located in Weston, MA. It was a great experience for our family because we were in a very lovely and safe area, but just a 15 minute walk to the subway station and commuter rail. This home (ID 9073) is located at the end of the green line, so anyone could ride to Boston in about 30 minutes. The neighborhood was so quaint, within walking distance to a huge pond for kayaking or just feeding the ducks before taking the train to Cambridge or Boston. Our hostess made her car available, but you won't need it in the spring or summer. Also, within walking distance is a local playhouse, which we couldn't enjoy with our two-year old, but it all just seemed so dreamy. If you need to be in Boston or Cambridge, I'd suggest staying in Weston. With the commuter rail, you could see so much more!
