A lovely three-bedroom house ideally situated in the Victoria Park area of Cardiff. It’s ten minutes to the city centre by public transport or a pleasant stroll or bike ride (two bikes are left in the garden shed for your convenience).
It’s a peaceful and quiet home in a nice neighbourhood and a good base to explore the Welsh capital and countryside.
The ground floor of the house consists of a hallway, living room, separate dining room and large kitchen with table.
Upstairs are three bedrooms (two doubles plus a smaller box room which I currently use as my office) and a bathroom with bath and shower. So, sleeping-wise, there are two double beds upstairs and a double bed-settee in the living room.
There is a pleasant and quiet garden with seating with rear lane access for those keen on cycling. We also have broadband internet for your use. Cardiff is a vibrant capital city with a lovely castle, museums, great shopping, arts centres and sporting opportunities. In fact it was recently in the top 10 places in the world to visit this summer by National Geographic magazine.
http://travel.nationalgeographic.com
Cardiff, Castle Coch and Caerphilly castles are within easy reach. London is two hours away by train, Bristol 50 minutes with the Gower Peninsula (60 mins), Pemrokeshire National Park (90 mins) and the Brecon Beacons to the north (45 mins).
Our neighbourhod is surrounded by many parks plus plenty of places to shop (including supermarkets), eat and drink. I’m a 44-year-old playwright who loves to travel (if you put my name, Alan Harris, into a search engine and the words Arts Council Wales you will find a little more about me and a picture - or go directly here:
http://www.artswales.org.uk
As I’m not tied to an office I can work anywhere and my partner, Julia, is a tour manager for an American company who speaks fluent Italian, French and is learning Spanish.
We are, naturally, interested in the arts and any culture but also like walking and biking.
