My two bedroom condo is on the second floor of a four story building (with elevator). Only two units per floor so almost no shared walls. Lots of windows so very well lit. Updated and modern with a great open floor plan. King size bed in the master bedroom with a large bathroom connected which has a shower and a large soaking tub. Second bedroom is used as an office---I have a queen size (very comfortable!) blow up bed that can be used in this room. A separate bathroom with shower is across the hall. Balcony off the living room with a gas barbecue that overlooks a lovely garden below. The building is very quiet. There is air conditioning (rarely needed in Seattle!) in the master bedroom which works great. High speed wifi internet. I love my condo..it is a very peaceful space to hang out in after a day of exploring the area.

I live in what many (myself included!) to be one of the best areas of Seattle---the North Admiral District of West Seattle. Made up mostly of older, very nice homes with beautiful gardens...it is a lovely neighborhood to walk around and look at the homes as well as the stunning views towards the east across the water to downtown (two blocks away), and to the west across the water towards the Olympic Mountains (three blocks away). You can see from the map that my condo is located at the end of a little peninsula directly across from Downtown Seattle. It is very quiet and peaceful.

A ten minute walk or 90 second drive and you are down on the waterfront.....one side looks directly over at the city with fantastic views, and if you walk the entire shorefront (about two miles)--you will reach beautiful Alki Beach area with many restaurants and bars, and one of the few public salt water sandy beaches in the Seattle area. Great area to walk, bike, rollerblade, kayak, scuba dive or paddle board. Rentals are available at the bottom of the hill, or I have two bikes available for use.

Five blocks up the street is a business district with two large grocery stores, many restaurants, and shops (and a Starbucks Coffee, of course!). One mile further is a much larger district with tons of restaurants and shops. West Seattle is an older, funky neighborhood with many "mom and pop" type stores, fun bars, and great restaurants. Typical of many of Seattle's neighborhoods.

My place is right on the bus line (it stops right in front!)...and you have many options to easily be in downtown Seattle. Ten minutes by car (which you can use mine), 12 minutes by bus, or walk to the bottom of the hill and take the water taxi across to Downtown (just a 12 minute ride). From the downtown waterfront you can catch a ferry to Bainbridge Island or the Kitsap Peninsula. Seattle and the Puget Sound region is home to the second largest fleet of car/passenger ferries in the world....many beautiful destinations to go visit. There are also ferries from downtown that go directly to Victoria, British Columbia or to the famous San Juan Islands---great for either day trips or a few nights.

I am also just a 60 minute drive east to the Cascade mountains....and a three hour drive south to Portland, Oregon or north to Vancouver, British Columbia.

I am a 54 year old male flight attendant based here in Seattle. Have been flying for 29 years. The last two years I have done home exchanges with my friend from Long Beach CA who was on this site. We went to Montpellier and Bordeaux and Budapest. We have had great experiences...and I decided it was time to offer up my place here in Seattle and see who wants to come visit! I am very open to go just about anywhere in Europe...possibly other locations, as well. April and May are the best times for me to get away. But I can also do a non-simultaneous exchange. Being a flight attendant...I can structure my time to work a lot if you wanted to come during a time I could not travel. My sister lives a block away and I can stay with her. Also, she is a great reference to call on if you have any problems or questions if I am away.
