The apartment is located in one of the best neighborhoods in Seattle, Queen Anne. Tremendous views abound, there are easily 20 restaurants within walking distance, also ballet, opera, 3 theaters, 2 movie theaters, all within a few blocks. Public transportation is just down the street. Hiking on Mt. Rainier, skiing, boating, ferry rides to the Olympic Peninsula, all within easy reach. Something about ourselves

I am retired, and want to spend some time traveling, both by myself, and with my husband. We like to settle down a bit in places we are visiting, to get to know the area and how people live. Home stays help us slow down and discover those aspects of a place that stay hidden from those who just stay in the usual tourist haunts. I've lived in France and Africa, speak French, some Spanish, and smatterings of some other languages. We look forward to spending time again in Europe, Asia, and Africa. We're also interested in exchanges in the US, to visit children and enjoy other fun places, especially southern California and New York.
