We are close to all the attractions of Washington DC (Smithsonian and other museums, theatre, restaurants, pro baseball and soccer teams), the historic Old Town of Alexandria, and Mt Vernon. While our house was built in the 80's it has an historic marker on the grounds. There are public bus routes at the corner that connect to the Metro system. We also can offer a car exchange (7 passenger van). There is a park, bike trail and wave pool nearby. Shopping around the corner. Deer and fox visit the yard. Nearest airports are Reagan International (DCA) (4 mi/15 min) and Dulles International (IAD) (36mi/45 min). ![]() Something about ourselves

We are semi-retired, Peter from the USDA as an agricultural economist (he still is teaching at a college part time) and I have been many things, but mostly in the arts/education field as a theatre light designer/video editor. Our daughter, a lawyer for the US government, has worked at OECD. Her twin boys (10) will be traveling with us. I take care of the boys, so our house is fully equipped with toys and books. We are looking for an August exchange of two weeks arranged around sports schedules. We speak a little French. I have some YouTube video tours of the house. If you email me I'll send the link....I could not download it to this site. ![]()
