Hear the cry of the loons…Nature abounds at this peaceful lakeside retreat. Snuggled in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, we are located on a very quiet lake. With all the conveniences of home, the main level of the house has hard wood floors, a wood burning stove, a galley kitchen, and breakfast bar. Living room and eating area look out onto the lake. There is a second story deck with picnic table in summer, great to enjoy your morning coffee while watching the loons on the lake. The property has a separate boathouse by the water. The boathouse is a small, rustic structure which is a perfect place to enjoy scenic views of the lake by day and let the kids set up sleeping bags at night. View the incredible canopy of stars on a clear night from the deck or head down to the lake to enjoy the moon over the lake. The winter provides welcome solitude and stunning snowfalls.

This clean, rustic home is in a rural neighborhood with nice neighbors who are sometimes around on the weekends. The town is West Glover and the area is part of the “lakes region” of Vermont. Hiking, sailing, swimming, fishing, kayaking, and canoeing are some of the many things to do. Take a gondola ride to the top of nearby Jay Peak Mountain and see 5 states, or take a drive into Montreal Canada for the day. Jay Peak is a 40 minute drive to the north, which boasts a magnificent year round waterpark, ice skating rink, and golf course. There are many beautiful lakes within driving distance and the most scenic areas of New Hampshire are only a few hours away. Nearby winter skiing, and snowshoeing will challenge you (Jay Peak to the north and Burke Mountain to the south). The lake freezes solid and you can take a walk on it usually between January and March. The nearest town is a 5 minute drive away. We are a professional couple with 2 well-behaved teenage boys, ages 14 and 17. We are interested in sharing our very special vacation home with others and having the ability to show our children new places and adventures. We are very responsible people and are extremely neat. We would take care of your home as if it were our own. We are open to new adventures and do not need to have a simultaneous exchange. We are open to long weekends or full week vacations but could allow you longer in our home as it is a second home for us.
