Our home is 3900 square feet of pure fun!! It is very stylish, yet very comfortable. We love to have houseguests, so the house is well set up for many people to be here at once. Our home was built by a commercial real estate broker who became enamored with a resort style pool in Hawaii, and had our pool built in the same style. It is saltwater, has a wonderful hot tub and 4 waterfalls, and all are computer programmed and worry free. We have housekeepers who will clean after you leave, we have lawn maintenance once a week. Two of the bedrooms have king size beds, one of which is a temprapedic. There are two working fireplaces, one in the livingroom and one in the Master Suite, each with it's own gas jet for lighting the fires. We are across the street from 450 acres of county park property in a quiet neighborhood 25 minutes from downtown Houston with the Medical Center and museums, shopping and restaurants. We are also 10 minutes from Space Center Houston at the Johnson Space Center, and 25 miles from the beach at Galveston. We spend our time primarily gardening and swimming, boating, entertaining, and hiking in the park across the street. Our exchange partners have done short trips to Galveston, San Antonio, Austin, and one couple left from here and went on a cruise to Alaska from Seattle! My husband is in the ship repair business, and I have just retired as a registered nurse. Write us about your location and we'll let you know what we think. We sometimes travel with our kids, sometimes with another couple. Surprise us! Our home is a perfect jumping off spot for cruises that begin in Galveston, a 30 minute drive from here.
